Following on the heels of last year’s successful Gartan Swim Challenge, the organizers have added a second string to their bow: The Sheephaven Bay Swim—a 4km sea swim from Horn Head to Portnablagh.
The scenery is glorious, the water clear, and there may be the odd dolphin—few things beat swimming in the sea in Donegal
Boats will ferry swimmers out to Horn Head, and them accompany them as they swim back in.
The sea swim takes place on Saturday 2nd July and is sponsored by Charlie Robinson Estate Agents, Peter Cutliffe (Claims Assessor), Letterkenny Credit Union, The Kitchen and Wet ‘n’ Wild, Dolans Travellers Rest Strabane.
Safety is paramount and there will be plenty of boats marshalling the course on the day. It will be a great event for spectators too—so come along, there’ll be a BBQ provided by The Kitchen, and enjoy the day.
