Swim as little or as much as you wish to remember those you have lost – celebrate the good times – recognise those who have inspired you.

Fee £5:00 payable at registration. Juniors (16 and under) Free

SMILE Mile In The Dark

Enjoy a leisurely swim in the beautiful historical village of Carlingford by the light of St John’s Castle.  This is a swim with friends – so you are all invited. Share the distance with a buddy if you wish. Bring a picnic with cake for after.
The swim will be as fast or as slow as you want to swim it. There will be water safety cover. If you cannot swim a mile you are still welcome – any distance goes – to remember those you have lost – celebrate the good times – recognise those who have inspired you
Write the name of your chosen person(s) on your arm so that they are swimming with you and to remind you why you are swimming. Include any inspirational words or messages of support as well….and a curly smiley wavy logo if you want.

2013  A mile of smiles at Camlough Lake 21.09.2013 the sun shone and wasn’t it fantastic. Remembering someone we lost, celebrating the good times and recognising someone who inspires us – the last event on the 2013 calendar for the Camlough Lake Water Festival – If it’s not fun – We’re not playing’  See you in the Water 2014.

Smile Mile Carlingford

The 2014 Smile mile was held in Carlingford and again the sun shone – over 50 swimmers with a party atmosphere. The choice of a pier jump or the steps were given as the swim start with the choice of a fast or slow paced swim. Kayakers, boat crew and swimmers each had the smile mile emblem on their hand for the swim.
